X4F Plat: attention to detail

The platform versions of the X4F feature an innovative design, expressed in the vigorous lines of the bonnet and the rounded lines of the mudguards, which combine beauty and practicality as they allow to work easily in the rows under crop branches. The result is a spacious, comfortable, safe driving position with all-round visibility for maximum productivity.
The new McCormick X4F is available with three different types of transmission and different front and rear axle solutions that result in different wheelbase and track dimensions, allowing it to stand out in four models with different vocations:

– F model for orchards.
– GE model (low orchard) to pass easily under the branches of the rows.
– GB model (large low orchard) for greenhouses and overhead trellis systems.
– XL model (wide orchard) for wide-row orchards and open field.

The X4 GB (Gran Basso) boasts the lowest driver’s seat in its class in the world. Thanks to a steering wheel height of only 1,280 mm, it can easily work inside marquee cultivations or in low-hanging canopies, such as in kiwi plantations.

A new heart beats in the X4F: the Deutz TCD series engine

The X4F Series is equipped with the innovative Deutz TCD L4 engine generation, 4-cylinder, 16-valve, 2.9 litre Turbo Intercooler and Common Rail electronic injection, which gives the engine: more power, lower fuel consumption even with high torque reserves and more flexibility of use. At maximum power of 2,000 rpm, the 6 models range from 75 hp to 112 hp. Fuel tanks of 80 litres, and 90 litres in the XL version, guarantee ample working autonomy. In relation to the power required, fuel consumption is always minimal, thanks to the absence of exhaust gas regeneration and the presence of the Engine Memo Switch system, which memorises and recalls the engine speed considered most congenial for the implement being used.

Speed Four transmission to be one step ahead

The transmission provides 12 FWD + 12 REV speeds with synchro shuttle and up to 48 FWD + 16 REV speeds with three-stage on-the-go powershift and power shuttle.

McCormick X8 VT-Drive

Hydraulic system with double or triple pump

For platform models, the hydraulic system is with a double pump of 50 + 28 l/min, for the linkage and steering. On request, it is available with a triple pump of 36 + 58 + 28 l/min, for the linkage, spool valves and steering. With the triple pump you can request 3 front ventral spool valves, combined with a joystick for controlling front-mounted implements.
